The small church at Sydkoster is located between Långegärde and the store, at the foot of Valfjäll. The church is used for concerts, among other things, the Koster Choir has several well-attended concerts during the year and is also a popular church for weddings.

During the summer you can take part in "Summer Music in the Church" and the church is open for visits, more info about dates to come.

Facts; In 1933, the Koster Chapel Building Association was formed to secure funding for the construction of a chapel. The land was donated by the lighthouse keeper Ernfrid Hagward on Sydkoster and the church was completed in 1939. Koster used to belong to the Tjärnö parish and previously the Tjärnö church and cemetery on the mainland were used.

Nowadays, Kosters Church belongs to Strömstad parish.
